Established in 1987, the Canadian Special Crops Association is a nonprofit alliance of over 100 processors, exporters and service providers engaged in the production and trade of Canadian pulses and special crops – including peas, lentils, chickpeas, beans, mustard, canaryseed, sunflower and buckwheat.

The CSCA works to enhance the profitability of its members and partners by increasing efficiencies and enhancing the value of the products and services they offer.
Vision:
The CSCA and its partners will be renowned for consistently and reliably delivering innovative, healthy, sustainable and functional food products to meet growing demand around the world.
Strategy:
The CSCA works to achieve its mission by delivering programs that:
- Reduce costs associated with the transportation and marketing of pulses and special crops, and
- Enhance the value of members’ products and services through the development of new market opportunities for pulses and special crops.
The CSCA also provides funding and strategic direction to Pulse Canada, the national pulse industry association that represents growers, processors and traders of pulse crops in Canada.
